Sara Tiara
Sara has been working in design, fashion and the arts all of her adult life and owes part of her inspiration to growing up in a family of fine art antique dealers in the renowned Portobello Road, London. In 2011 Sara founded her sustainable label Sara Tiara, which has become synonymous with the principles of British Heritage fashion and slow fashion. Sara is best known for her signature Harris Tweed hats which are inspired by the countryside as well as by metropolitan influences and historical millinery styles.
Sara and her highly skilled team work from her atelier in the New Forest, developing unique techniques for sculpting hats and applying different methods of embellishment such as beadwork, appliqué work and textile manipulation. Sara’s hats and headpieces range from opulent, dramatic one of a kind creations to more subtly elegant, ready to wear pieces.... all developed around the pillar of uncompromising quality where the creative process reflects the tradition of supreme craftsmanship.
