Making her debut at international art fair Collect, ‘Garden of Making’ was inspired by Bridget Bailey’s encounters with plants and insects on her allotment. From millinery and textiles to fly-tying, found feathers to cat whiskers, velvet to abaca fibre, this immersive installation grew from the creative compost of her making life. Techniques and species combine and cross pollinate revealing parallels between making and the way nature evolves.
